In the morning, we will cross the northern part of the Santa River valley, between the Blanca and Negra mountain ranges. In her settle colorful towns and cities like Carhuaz, Mancos and Yungay previously buried by an avalanche in 1970. We will admire the most imposing snow-capped mountains of the Cordillera Blanca: the Huascarán (6,768 masl) – the highest mountain in Peru-, the Huandoy ( 6,356 masl) and Hualcán (6,162 masl).
From Yungay, we will ascend to the Cordillera Blanca to visit the Gorge of Llanganuco, in the protected area of the Huascarán National Park. We will appreciate the beautiful lagoon of Chinacocha (3,850 masl), with turquoise blue waters, surrounded by snowy mountains and with a variety of high Andean flora. Finally, we will visit the cozy town of Caraz. At the coordinated time, return to the city.
